A couple of days ago, this image of the Columbia River Gorge made its way onto Picturing God. If you click on the main link, the last two desert photos are really wonderful.
I took that photo of the Gorge from Vista House, which is an extremely cool place to visit. I saw a photo of Vista House on a college website as Marissa and I were preparing to leave for our college visit trip to the PNW, and called to ask what and where it was. We had such a good time exploring the Portland area that year ~ and in the years that followed.
