Skyrocketing Stress Levels

OK, wow.

Tonight a friend mentioned someplace we apparently went together a few days ago.

I have no memory whatever of that little excursion.

This same thing happened after Josh died.  How I finished seminary, I have no idea.  I would take pages of notes during lectures and look at them a couple of days later and have no recollection of the class at all.

There must be some research on the effects of stress on short-term memory.

What I want to know is whether there's something I can do about it.

  1. Take deep breaths and remind yourself, "All shall be well, all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well." (((Robin)))

  2. Well, perhaps not. But it may be that taking time each day for silent prayer, meditation, may assist. But I think you already do this? So, sometimes all you can do is hold yourself gently and understand that you are stressed.

  3. Oh Robin, you are dealing with cancer, a new call, ordination. All you have to do is breathe. Hugs.
