Where I (Sometimes) Work

People for Others' Paul Campbell has put up a couple of slideshows of his office, and invited his readers to participate.  I don't have any pictures of my entire tiny office, so I'll go with the outside view and what's on some of the walls:

The church (those two windows above the tower doorway are my office windows):

The Woman at the Well, a gift from an artist/teacher friend, hangs above my desk because that's the story for me:

A cross, a gift from Margaret Almon and Wayne Straz of Nutmeg Designs, was the first thing I hung on the wall:

My son brought this Christ Pantocrator back from Russia last summer:

A card from  Michelle Francl of Quantum Theology (yes, the small print credits the quote to "St. Ignatius of Loyola"):

A soon-to-be Presby pastor honored me with her first attempt at pottery:

Stoles and robes (yes, that's a gannet on the one on your left ~ for those of you who remember my blogging pseudonym Gannet Girl)(the others in this picture were (1) brought as a gift from Guatemala by my daughter and (2) made by pastor friend Maggie :

I see that I'm missing some important items!  I'll have to take some more pictures next week, and you'll have to suffer through those as well..

  1. I loved Paul's post and I like yours too!

  2. There is another gift waiting at my house for you.It is not for your wall but is to remind you of God's all enveloping love. When you have time, I would so enjoy finally giving it to you as a reminder of this.

  3. Oh....this is lovely. Maybe I'll follow suit - will need to clean the office first, however...LOL (thankfully the two previous priests kept cluttered offices, so by comparison it seems mine appears tidy - but it is not).

  4. It's a lovely way to see what you see....and I think I'll try to do the same.

  5. I love this tour of your office/work surroundings - so many beautiful, meaningful personal "icons," each with its own story...and that Russian icon is soooo lovely.

  6. You have some very beautiful pieces of art in your office. Thanks for sharing them with us.

  7. Glad Margaret's cross is keeping you company. Hnk for the tour.
